She explores different kinds of physical abuse and offers us an understanding on how all these forms of physical violence can affect our body.  Dr Ogden discusses our mobilising and immobilising defence responses and how we are programmed to choose the best response for our situation. Dr Ogden provides us with a variety of activities we can do to regulate our arousal, helping us to navigate through the aftermath of violence and physical abuse.
