    Insula

    In this session, Dr Jennifer Sweeton investigates the insula. She examines why she thinks that the insula is one of the top 5 most important areas in mental health. Dr Sweeton disscusses how the insula allows us to feel into internal experiences, explaining how feeling into your body is a pre-requisite for having therapy. She outlines what is happening in the insula when it is overactive and underactive in different conditions and shows us how the insula processes information, clarifying how our emotions are made.

    The Corpus Callosum

    In this session, Dr Iain McGilchrist investigates the corpus callosum. He explains how the corpus callosum communicates between the two hemispheres of the brain, and how and why we evolved to have a corpus callosum.  Dr McGilchrist outlines the corpus callosum in context to the other regions of the brain.
