In this session, Dr Pat Ogden investigates anxiety. We all experience anxiety at some time in our lives and this is not necessarily a bad thing. When anxiety is temporary it can be helpful, motivating us to face challenges and helping us focus. However, for some of us anxiety can be so strong it becomes debilitating and we cannot function. Dr Ogden offers ways for navigating through this anxiety, showing us techniques we can use that she found helpful with her clients. She addresses the physiology of our anxiety, discussing how we can regulate our arousal and redirect our focus using our body resources and mindful awareness.
