About This Session

Based on Pete Walker’sComplex PTSD: From Surviving to Thriving, this meditation, The Bridge to Belonging, is an emotional journey designed to end the “long exile” of self-abandonment. By navigating the abandonment mélange (the morass of fear, shame, and depression), you will learn to toggle from hyperarousal into parasympathetic relaxation. Using Walker’s Time Machine Rescue Operation, you will practice “remothering” your inner child with reparenting affirmations to build a “fierce allegiance” to yourself. This practice helps de-adrenalize the body and metabolize childhood pain into a state of serenity.
