In this session, Dr Nina Josefowitz investigates the relationship between daily activities and mood fluctuations. Building on the previous session, where we explored how life changes and stressors contribute to depression, Dr Josefowtiz introduces the Daily Activity Schedule (DAS). This tool helps clients monitor their activities and mood ratings across the week, enabling them to identify patterns that maintain or alleviate depression. By encouraging curiosity and collaboration, we guide clients in discovering mood-boosting activities and recognising mood fluctuations, which often contradict the belief of a constant depressive state. Dr Josefowitz lays the groundwork for developing interventions to incorporate positive behaviours into clients’ routines.
